Halloween kids! (though now it's almost Christmas)

Our family had an enjoyable October. California and Halloween (or Halloweek as I would have called it) were the two main events. The abundance of activities caused the kids to become less fond of dressing up, but they did it anyway. Now that Christmas is almost here, I thought I better remind my blog that we actually celebrated Halloween first.

We visited UVU for an evening that was catered to kids for halloween. There were activities, food, contests and a small trick or treat area. The kids liked it, I wouldn't say they loved it. IT WAS FREE! We had activities at the school, the ward party had a trunk or treat and Kelson and Devri participated as SPOOKS in the local neighborhood halloween train. They love doing that, though this year was a little colder than last and a lot more uncomfortable. I stayed home while Dan took them to do their actual trick-or-treating this year. We had very few kids at the door, but I didn't mind...didn't want to run out of candy and have to hurry out for more.
Shortly after Halloween we celebrated my birthday. I turned 25 again ;) It was a great birthday and my family always treats me with the funnest gifts and sweetest card. Kelson was so kind. He signed my card with a familiar yearbook phrase. "Until next year, keep up the good work"??? What? He also wrote, "You love us so much" That part is true.
As the year end approaches, I hope we can enjoy all the holidays! These last couple of months will be hard to top. Owen had a birthday too. His post is next.
